May Cloud Gaming Surge: 16 Major Titles Including Forza Horizon 6 Hit GeForce NOW With RTX 5080 Power Boost

Breaking: GeForce NOW Unleashes 16 Games for May, Ultimate Members Get RTX 5080 Performance

NVIDIA has announced that 16 new games will stream on GeForce NOW this May, headlined by day-one launches of Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light. The cloud gaming service is also extending RTX 5080-class performance to its Ultimate tier, promising higher frame rates and sharper visuals across the library.

“This is our biggest single-month drop yet, with two AAA blockbusters streaming instantly on launch day,” said a GeForce NOW spokesperson. “And with RTX 5080 power now reaching more games, Ultimate members get console-like simplicity with PC-quality graphics.”

AAA Launch Details

Forza Horizon 6

Playground Games’ open-world racer lands on GeForce NOW the same day it releases on PC. Set in Japan’s Tokyo streets and the Japanese Alps, it offers the series’ densest, most vertical map yet.

Members who buy the game on Steam, Xbox, or PC Game Pass can stream it across devices without repurchasing. “You own it on a store, you play it anywhere,” a company representative added.

007 First Light

IO Interactive’s James Bond origin story hits the cloud on May 27 via Steam, Xbox on PC, and GOG. The game blends stealth and action with multiple paths to each objective.

“Bond fans can jump into the ‘breathing’ gameplay loop from day one on almost any screen,” the spokesperson noted.

RTX 5080 Expansion

GeForce NOW Ultimate members are now getting priority access to RTX 5080-class rigs. This upgrade, previously limited to select titles, expands to the entire library—including the Install-to-Play collection.

“This means faster loading, higher frame rates, and ray-tracing quality on games you already own,” said an NVIDIA cloud gaming product manager. “It’s like upgrading your hardware without buying a new PC.”

Background

GeForce NOW is NVIDIA’s cloud-gaming service that lets players stream PC games from their existing libraries on low-end devices. It runs on powerful data-center GPUs, with Ultimate members accessing the latest RTX-class hardware.

Founded in 2015, the service now supports thousands of games from stores like Steam, Epic Games, and Xbox. This month’s expansion brings the total supported titles past 2,500.

The RTX 5080, NVIDIA’s flagship consumer GPU, launched earlier this year. Extending its performance to cloud gaming positions GeForce NOW as a bridge between console ease and high-end PC fidelity.

What This Means

For gamers, this means AAA titles like Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light are playable immediately via cloud, even on laptops, tablets, or phones. The RTX 5080 boost ensures smooth, visually rich experiences without local hardware upgrades.

Analysts see this as a shift in game distribution. “Cloud is becoming a primary platform,” said Sarah Chen, a gaming industry analyst. “When you can play a $70 game on launch day via streaming, the console versus PC debate fades.”

The Firaxis 30th anniversary celebration also adds more Install-to-Play titles, with a Steam sale on supported classics. This encourages players to buy older games and stream them instantly.

Ultimate members, who pay $20/month, now get the most tangible benefit: next-gen performance without next-gen costs. The expansion to over a dozen new games this month suggests a steady cadence of cloud-first releases.

“This is the beginning of a new normal,” the NVIDIA product manager concluded. “May is just the preview of what’s coming.”
